4-5 Year Old Program
Children are entitled to attend one year of funded kindergarten prior to school entry. (Children must be 4 years of age prior to 30th April - We encourage families of
children whose birthday is between January and April of the kindergarten year to consider enrolling their child in the following year.
This will enable the child to achieve more successfully).
Council operates a central enrolment service for four year old programs to help with the planning of pre school services within Banyule.
2010 Enrolments are currently being accepted. An Enrolment form can be obtained from any Pre School or Maternal and Child Health Centre in Banyule, or via the council website (www.banyule.vic.gov.au). Forms should be returned to Council as soon as possible as preschool places are allocated in date of enrolment order. 2011 Enrolments for 4 year old programs will be accepted from March 2009. As preschool places are allocated in date of enrolment order, it is best to enrol your child as early as possible.

3-4 Year Old Program
- 3-4YO children need to turn 3 before January 31st, to commence our 3-4 year-old kinder program.(Please see our Preschool Readiness page)
Enrolment is made directly with the kindergarten. Forms can be obtained through our preschool.
